Love God, please people?!?!

When we view scripture, we should view it through the lens of those 2 commandments. Everything that Jesus was about, could be summed up with how He passionately loves His father, and how he passionately loved people.
But how to often do we live in the trap of, Love God and please people? To live completely in the freedom of Christ, we must forsake the “good” opinions of man, and focus solely on pleasing God and loving people. For if we get stuck in the trap of pleasing people, we cannot, and will not be focused on pleasing the Lord. For myself, God has allowed me to have Godly men, who have given me different opinions on the same topic, leaving me in utter confusion, worse off than before. Two godly men who have love Jesus, having two completely different opinions. In His grace, God showed me to live to please him, and stop living off of opinions.
There is a difference in asking for biblical wisdom, and doing exactly what everybody else does, and the spirit will help you discern that. Maybe we should never consult the opinion of a man, until we consult the wisdom of our father, and the instructions in his scripture.
Don’t fall in the trap of pleasing people, you might not ever come out!
For His Glory

Born in 1982, Josh grew up in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina where he was raised by his mother and grandparents. When you think of Josh, think humble beginnings. His mother worked 3 jobs just to put food on the table and make ends meet, and often times, Josh and his sister would stay home and tear stuff up “literally”...
