Mercy

More and more, especially lately, I’ve been fascinated with the mercy of God. Lamentations 3 states that his mercies are new every single morning, and I’m a recipient of that mercy. Without the mercy of God, I don’t breathe, my heart doesn’t beat, blood doesn’t flow through my veins. The initiating of God’s mercy to all of us, allows us to enjoy His grace and allows us to focus on other attributes, but make no mistake about it, without His mercy, we would all be consumed.

After doing a camp this week and hearing stories of teenagers, I’m convinced that we need to share the mercy of God more. I see physically well teens, who have been left handicapped by there parents and by decisions of others who they have been held captive too. And before we actually get to hear stories, and walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, what do we do? WE JUDGE! We must see JESUS as redeemer in the lives of people, and realize that only Jesus can heal the wounded, only Jesus can give life to the broken, only Jesus can change hearts. BUT realize this, judging does nothing but place you in a seat of elevation, and according to Luke 18, NO MAN can ever elevate themselves to a place of judgement, God is not fond of that.

People have been spiritually handicapped by life, and by wicked people…..I have, other people have. Instead of judging them, pray for them, pray for the mercy of God to enter into there lives. God’s mercy is Jesus, he took our wrath and he didn’t give us what we deserve. Be an agent of mercy, if God hadn’t of sent us son, we would all be consumed.
